PESCO was established by Peter Asselin in 1990 to service the electrical industry in New England. PESCO has developed a line-card consisting of 20 principals all of which compliment one another.
PESCO’s target markets are as follows:
- Industrial
- Hospitals and Universities
- Municipal Electric Utilities
- Water / Wastewater
- Consulting Engineers / EPC Firms
- Cogeneration and Merchant Power Plants
- Telecommunications/Data Centers
PESCO represents product lines such as UPS systems (uninterrupted power systems), PDU’s (power distribution units), RPP’s (remote power panels), static switches, as well as overhead busway systems which can provide clients with a complete turnkey solution for data centers and computer lab applications.
PESCO's other major market focus is providing the balance of plant electrical equipment for new large power plant projects, scrubber projects for coal fired plants, and new cogen power plant projects.
Over the last 5 years PESCO has also been providing transformers, padmounted switchgear, power cable, combiner boxes, and hign voltage step up substations for windfarm and PV solar projects.
The majority of our principals manufacture products that are highly engineered product lines. Accordingly, we place tremendous emphasis on technical training and on our ability to drive specifications. PESCO routinely sponsors seminars at consulting engineering offices and at regional hotels where both end users and consultants are invited to attend.
PESCO works with the local electrical distributors to sell the majority of our product lines.
The distributors also utilize our expertise on medium and high voltage equipment to provide their contractors with good engineering solutions for their projects. They also come to us for power quality solutions.
The electrical power products we sell are for use on electrical transmission and distribution systems.
We also have products that help to provide better power quality, such as UPS systems, harmonic filters, surge protection and power factor correction capacitors. PESCO has successfully promoted UPS systems into hospitals, college and universities, pharmaceutical companies, investment companies and for municipal applications.
Our sales strategy is to influence specifications at both the consultant and end user level, in order to put our companies in the best position to win the business.
Once having influenced the specifications, it is essential to track projects through to completion and to close the deal. Our success in accomplishing this lies in our strong relationships with both contractors and distributors as well as in our dedication to working together as a cohesive team.
